Gaden Community Centre has long been a beloved gathering spot in the Woolahra community. Located at the corner of Queen Street and Edgecliff Road in Woollahra, it has grown into a place for seniors to connect, engage and find Aged Care Services in Woollahra. From chair yoga to wellness programs and dementia support activities, Gaden plays an essential role in promoting social inclusion and enhancing well-being for seniors in the eastern suburbs. After decades of daily use, the centre is in need of upgrades to ensure it remains welcoming and comfortable for all.

Holdsworth has launched their Tax Appeal fundraising campaign to refurbish Gaden, with the goal of transforming it into a vibrant, purpose-built space dedicated to community wellbeing. The vision is clear: a hub designed to support older people, those living with dementia, and carers through programs that encourage independence, wellness and social inclusion.

The planned upgrades will make the centre more comfortable and inclusive for all who walk through its doors. Funds raised will go towards new furniture, upgraded tech for entertainment and education. These changes may seem simple, but they’ll make a big difference to the day-to-day experience of the seniors and volunteers who use the centre.

This refurbishment will ensure we can continue delivering services in a space that’s welcoming and built for connection.”
