Holdsworth provides aged care services at home tailored to your lifestyle, preferences and goals. As a trusted not-for-profit supporting Sydney seniors, we offer personalised support that helps you stay safe, confident and connected to your community.

Australia’s aged care system is evolving, with the new Support at Home model gradually replacing previous programs. Further details are available on our Support at Home collection page.

As part of the national transition, the Home Care Package program has already moved to the new system, while the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) will transition no later than 1 July 2027.

For more than 80 years, Holdsworth has supported older adults, people living with dementia, people with disability, carers and families. Guided by our values of independence, kindness, openness and trust, we’re here to make ageing at home easier.

Frequently asked questions

You can start by requesting an assessment through My Aged Care. Your assessment, classification and budget are determined by the government’s Single Assessment System, not by Holdsworth. Once approved, Holdsworth can help you understand your classification and budget, then guide you through the Support at Home system so you can access services that suit your lifestyle.

If you or someone you care for is exploring in-home care providers, our team is here to help. Just reach out or call 1300 882 962.

Costs depend on your income and the type of support you receive. Clinical care is fully funded by the government, while independence support may require a contribution of up to 50% and everyday living support up to 80%. You can learn more through our Support at Home collection page.

The Home Care Package program has already transitioned into Support at Home, and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) will transition no later than 1 July 2027. Holdsworth provides simple, transparent pricing so you always understand how your budget is being used.

The Home Care Package program provided four package levels, each with a fixed budget and set inclusions. Under Support at Home, these have been replaced with one individual budget linked to your assessed support needs. Budgets are now quarterly, with the option to carry over up to 10% or $1,000 (whichever is higher) into the next quarter.

Support at Home also groups services into clearer categories: clinical care, independence support and everyday living support, each has its own contribution settings. For more information, go to our Support at Home collection page.

You can access a wide range of government-funded supports through the Support at Home system, including social activities for seniors, transportation services for seniors, shopping assistance for seniors, dementia-friendly programs, personal care, domestic assistance and nursing.

Holdsworth provides in-home support to seniors living in the Eastern Suburbs and selected areas of the City of Sydney and Inner West, including Woollahra, Coogee, Bondi Beach and nearby communities. Contact us on 1300 882 962 if you’d like to confirm coverage for your location.
