Charter of Aged Care Rights

The Charter of Aged Care Rights is easy to read and focuses on 14 high-level consumer rights. The new Charter makes it easier for consumers, their families, carers and representatives to understand what they can expect from an aged care service.

It is Holdsworth’s responsibility to ensure you have:

  • Received a copy of the new Charter of Aged Care Rights, signed by Holdsworth
  • Understood the Charter
  • Had the opportunity to sign a copy of the Charter

What do the new Aged Care Quality Standards mean for you?

The Aged Care Quality Standards apply to all services and supports that Holdsworth provides.

The Aged Care Quality Standards focus on quality outcomes for consumers. This makes it easier for consumers, their families, carers and representatives to understand what they can expect from a service. It also makes regulation simpler for providers working across multiple aged care services, and encourage innovation, excellence and continuous improvement.
