What is Holdsworth Playgroup?
Holdsworth is a trusted, not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting families across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs for over 85 years. Our playgroup programs are designed around one simple idea: that children learn best through play, and that parents and carers thrive when they feel connected and supported.
We run two playgroup locations during school terms, both proudly supported by Woollahra Council:
Holdsworth Woollahra Playgroup
- 64 Holdsworth Street, Woollahra
- Monday to Friday, 9am–12pm
- $12 per family per session
Rose Bay Cottage Playgroup

- Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am–12pm
- $6 per family per session

Why Playgroup is good for your child (and you)
Research consistently shows that play-based learning in early childhood supports language development, social skills, emotional regulation and problem-solving. Playgroup also gives you a reason to go somewhere, connect with other grown-ups and watch your little one light up doing something new.
Our sessions include interactive learning, indoor and outdoor play, story time, and creative crafts, all facilitated by experienced, caring team who are there to support both you and your child.
