Dementia Friendly Woollahra invites you to a free information session on understanding, caring and living with dementia.

This session brings together expert advice for carers of people living with dementia, drawing on lived experience and clinical expertise. You’ll come away understanding what’s happening, what to expect, and where to find support. There will be time for your questions.

Guest speakers

Former CEO of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Debra shares the practical and emotional lessons she learned caring for her husband Don, including how to stay connected as dementia changes a relationship.

  • Dr Jane Lonie | Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist

Jane covers the clinical side, explaining what’s happening in the brain during dementia, the different types, and what to expect through assessment and diagnosis, so carers know what questions to ask.
