Dementia Friendly Woollahra (DFW) is a local initiative led by Holdsworth in partnership with Woollahra Council and community members. Our goal is to build a more informed, compassionate and inclusive community for people living with dementia and their carers.

Information sharing

Dementia Friendly Woollahra works with a range of local organisations to share information, spread awareness and continue the dementia conversation with the community. This includes:

  • Local information sessions exploring dementia, healthy ageing and navigating the system as an individual, family member or carer
  • Support and assistance to understand dementia for local businesses
  • Networking and presentation opportunities for dementia consultants and ageing experts
  • Sharing of resources and advice

Dementia Friends learn about dementia so they can collaborate with people impacted by dementia and make their communities more dementia-friendly.

The Carers Network

The Carers Network is a supportive group designed for carers of people living with dementia. This welcoming space allows you to connect with others, share experiences and access expert advice.

Sessions are led by Michelle Beaumont, Dementia Consultant and member of Dementia Friendly Woollahra.
