Our Purpose & Mission
Here for you
For over 80 years, we’ve been connecting people and possibility. At Holdsworth, we empower people to thrive and grow and find a sense of belonging. Through improving access, tailoring support and connecting people, we work with you to achieve your unique goals. We work alongside older people, people living with a disability, carers, and families and young children so you can feel unstoppable.
At our core, Holdsworth is here for community.
We’re here for you.
Our mission is to support people in our community and encourage social connection
to create independent and fulfilling lives.
Holdsworth is a for-purpose organisation that’s been part of the fabric of life in the Eastern Suburbs since the 1960s. Starting with before and after-school care for local children, we evolved in the 1970s to provide support to housebound older residents. Today, we provide a broad range of services for people living with disability, families and older Australians. Our services have changed over the years, but our values still hold strong.
What we value
We promote informed choice, resilience and individual preference.
We are committed to being a trusted provider by operating with integrity and offering services that are safe, reliable and high quality.
Our staff and volunteers are warm, caring and generous.
We’re here to listen and learn from the communities we serve.

We believe in people’s right to live and participate fully in the community and to be valued for making unique contributions.
- We build relationships and connections
- We celebrate individual preference
- We deliver a localised approach
- We recognise value in everyone
- We partner with individuals and families
