About the role

We are always keen to hear from people who may be interested in Support Work on a casual or permanent basis to make a difference in the community by providing support to our participants. No two days are the same and may include delivering personal care, household domestic assistance, meal preparation, accompanying participants on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping build social networks.

Shift times can vary in length, typically from between 2-5 hours (Monday-Saturday), with a minimum of 2 hours work across the day. This position is based in Sydney. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 2. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Team Leader.

About you

We are seeking professional, passionate, and enthusiastic people who share our values and commitment to join our team. While a background or qualification in community services would be advantageous, more important are the attributes that you possess that speak to our values; independence, trust, kindness and openness.

We are looking for people who:

– Align to Holdsworth’s values

– Are caring, compassionate, competent and creative

– May have experience but, if not, are willing to learn to support people who are aging, their carers and families in a partnership model, where the rights and choices of consumers are truly valued. This may include personal care, assistance with medication, dementia and other complex needs.

– Thrive on working as part of a collaborative team, but with capacity to work independently and accountably.

To be eligible you must have, or be able to obtain:

– National Police Check

– CPR and First Aid certificate

– Current NSW Drivers’ Licence and own comprehensively insured vehicle.
