The Management Team

Ruth Kestermann

CEO – Ruth Kestermann BEng (Civil) Hon (Syd) MDev (Macq)

Ruth joined Holdsworth in 2014 after 14 years working as a project manager, engineer and consultant in the private, government and not-for-profit sector and became CEO in 2017. Ruth has focused her efforts on building the resilience of vulnerable communities both in Australia and overseas. Ruth has recently completed a Masters of Development Studies and Cultural Change at Macquarie University.

Chandra Sharma

CFO – Chandra Sharma

Chandra has extensive experience developing unique financial solutions to empower individuals to build their own financial sustainability in a range of countries. Chandra has 25 years of experience in professional finance and operations roles, with 12 years’ experience in the Not for Profit sector.

Chandra was Head of Finance for Habitat for Humanity Australia for seven years so is also familiar with a range of innovative housing schemes.

Kim Tipoki

Community Care Manager (NDIS & Family Services) – Kim Tipoki

Overall management of our Community Programs is the responsibility of Community Care Manager, Kim Tipoki who has over 15 years experience working in the community sector leading small and large teams of staff. Kim has Mental Health update qualifications, Advanced Certificate in Business Management, Cert IV Disability Studies, and is currently studying for Cert IV Training and Assessment.

Wendy Francis

Community Care Manager (Seniors) – Wendy Francis

Wendy joined Holdsworth in 2017 to take on responsibility for our Seniors Community programs bringing with her 17 years of experience in the social sector. Wendy has a strong interest in uncovering and promoting the opportunities that exist for communities when older people’s skills, talents and resources are recognised. To bring intellectual rigour to these practices and values Wendy has recently completed study at the University of New South Wales, Centre for Social Impact where she gained further knowledge regarding social enterprise, co-design, leadership and measurement of social impact. Wendy is now seeking to apply these learnings by partnering with elders to develop responses to issues and opportunities in their communities that are financially viable while achieving strong, measurable social outcomes.

Jodie Wainwright

Development Manager – Jodie Wainwright BCom (Syd)

Jodie started her career in the commercial world marketing for Optus before she moved across to the Not for Profit sector. Jodie joined Holdsworth in 2015 bringing a wealth of fundraising and development experience with over 12 years experience in positions for organisations such as Cancer Council, Sydney Opera House and the Red Cross just to name a few.
