Nutrition program for seniors

Holdsworth is proud to highlight the outstanding work of Sophia Zhang and Lil Potter from the University of Sydney, who are currently completing their placement rotations for Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics with us. Over the past six weeks, Sophia and Lil have been developing a comprehensive nutrition program for seniors participating in the Wellness Hub. Their program includes practical strategies and resources to educate participants on how to incorporate high-protein and energy-rich foods into their diets.

The program has received positive feedback from our community. Seniors found the information and the practical workshop helpful in understanding how to incorporate nutritious foods into their diets.

Small, frequent meals

Instead of three large meals, seniors can benefit from eating six smaller, nutrient-dense snacks throughout the day. Examples include high-protein yogurt with fruit, smoothies, or muesli bars.

High-protein foods

Incorporating high-protein foods is crucial for maintaining muscle mass and preventing falls.

Ready-made meals

For seniors who may not be able to cook daily, ready-made meals can be a convenient and nutritious option.

At Holdsworth, we understand the importance of a well-balanced diet and the convenience of having nutritious meals delivered right to your doorstep. That’s why we’ve partnered with Meals on Wheels New South Wales to bring you high-quality, tailored meals designed for seniors. Home Cuisine service ensures you get the nourishment seniors need, hassle-free.

Thank you, Sophia and Lil, for your work!
