On the 26th of February, the Holdsworth Playgroup was visited by our friends from Bug About. The Bug Man brought with him a fantastic collection of bugs to entertain the little ones.

The show kicked off with the Bug Man explaining the key differences between animals and bugs. The children then got up close and personal with the bugs, including a Giant Burrowing Cockroach, a wasp nest, a scorpion, a centipede, and a spider exoskeleton.

The children also got to meet some spiders, including a huntsman, and a tarantula named Fluffy. While they were captivated by Fluffy and her friend, the Bug Man shared some important safety tips with the parents about spider bites.

The bug show was a fantastic interactive experience, where the children were exposed to some of the treasures of the bug world, while learning interesting bug facts. Thanks to our friends from Bug About and Woollahra Council for making this possible.
